Playing Heads Up with Lisa Malak and Justin Steinbrinck on Local 5 Live
There is a question I dread hearing from my kids…”Mom, can I get another game on my iPod?” For some reason, it is like nails on a chalkboard. I mean come on, my kids both have a million and one games on those things already, why do they need more!?
Well, last week I caved and let Elliot download the game “Heads Up”…mostly because he said “Mom, it is only 99 cents and we can play it as a family.” And I also recalled a friend telling me about this game so I decided to check it out. Let me just tell you, it’s the best 99 cents we have spent on iTunes.
This app was developed by Ellen DeGeneres (and who doesn’t love Ellen?!) It is a super fun guessing game that keeps you on your toes. You can play with one person or a group of people. The “guesser” holds the phone on their forehead and it displays a word. The other players give you clues and you have to guess the words before the timer runs out.
One of the funniest things is that each time you play, your phone records the other players’ faces and it creates a hilarious video that you can email and share on social media.
Check out today’s Media Mom segment and you can watch us play it on set. My face still hurts from laughing, it was hysterical.
And this is what it looks like from the “guesser’s” point of view. I had to face the TV cameras so you don’t get a great shot of Lisa and Justin, but if you aren’t on live television then you can get some great videos of your friends and family looking hilarious!
